Walt Disney World Trip

To celebrate Shane's parents 40th anniversary, they planned a family trip to Disney World in Florida. There were 16 of us. There are 9 grandkids, but the youngest one stayed home for this trip. We got up early on Dec 2nd and headed to the airport.

Chandler and Kayden in the cockpit of the plane.

Kayden and Braxton studied the safety procedures.

Here are most of the kids watching cartoons while we get checked in the hotel.

Left to right: Mylie, Dylan, Braxton, Kayden, Payton, Chandler and Tucker. Mason was sitting by his dad instead of watching cartoons. He is the same age as Mylie. So we had age 12 down to two 2 year olds. Great times!

The next morning we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was great weather and we had a lot of fun.

Mylie is driving! Watch out!

The next day we went to Hollywood Studios. We were able to go on the new Toy Story ride and the Tower of Terror before it started raining. We went on the Rockin Rollercoaster and then to see the Beauty and the Beast show. By that time all the kids were miserable. We had some ponchos that we tried to keep dry with, but the stroller got wet while we were watching the show so the little ones were not too happy. Most of us called it a day and headed back to the hotel. It was great to have a rest since we were all exhausted from the day before.

Shane and the kids waiting to ride. Mr. Potatohead was there entertaining.
This is one of Kaydens favorite rides. You sit in an elevator and it lifts you to the top and then drops really fast. It does this a few times, and also opens the doors so you can see outside while your at the top. A very thrilling ride! I waited with the 5 kids that couldn't go on it.

The third day (Saturday) we went to the Animal Kingdom. The morning was still a bit rainy so we all bought new ponchos and went anyway. It actually added to the rainforest effect while we went on the safari ride. We saw a lot of cool animals but most of the pictures turned out blurry. After we were done there we went to Epcot for dinner and rode the Nemo ride.

All of us in our fashionable ponchos with Jiminy Cricket.

The Expedition Everest ride. You can see the rollercoaster going up on the left side.
Watch out it goes backwards too!
Minnie Mouse in the parade.

On Sunday, 6 of the boys got to go on a pirate adventure. They got all dressed in their bandanas and their life jackets to board the pirate boat. The final clue lead them to the treasure chest in the front lobby of our hotel. They each got a bag full of pirate treasure.

The boys are ready for their pirate adventure! Arrgggghh!!

This is what Mylie did while we waited for the pirates!

That same night we all met at Chef Mickeys for dinner. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck all came to visit us at our table. Mylie was pretty scared of them so I held her on my lap. While she was eating broccoli, she fell asleep without chewing it. Just shows how exhausted we all were by that point in our trip.

Mylie sound asleep!
Mickey with all the boys!

After dinner with Mickey we went to party that Shane's mom had planned as a surprise for us all. We got to meet Captian Hook and Smee, then followed them outside to a boat. From there we went out on the water and watched the amazing fireworks that are at the Magic Kingdom.
Our family with Captian Hook and Smee
Peter Pan met us when we got off the boat.
He and Braxton had a sword fight.

The kids all ready to go on another 4 hour plane ride back home!
We had a great time! Long post, but it could have been longer with all the pictures we took.
