Kaydens Spotlight

There hasn't been anything on the blog about Kayden yet.  This week is a perfect week to update what is going on in Kaydens life.  Three of the first grade classes had a program on Monday.  I think it was called "A Book is a Magic Carpet Ride."  Very Cute!  The classes ordered matching t-shirts.  Kaydens class was in yellow.  Each of the kids drew a picture of themselves to put on the front of the shirt.  Such a great idea to remember all his first grade classmates.  Here are a couple pictures and a little video.

If you listen to the very end, you can hear Mylie scream "Yeay!!!"  She was following along with all the actions the kids were doing. Then everyone started clapping so she screamed.  Funniest part was when she was embarassed that the parents around us were laughing at her.  She started to cry and hid her face.  Braxton and Mylie were so proud of Kayden!

Today was supposed to be their Zoo field trip, but it got cancelled because of budget cutbacks.  The teachers decided to make their own zoo in the park behind the school.  They invited the parents to bring pets from home.  We have 4 pets.  Braxtons fish named Bubbles, Kayden and Mylies parakeets named Ollie and Annie, and Chandlers hampster named Crystel.  We decided the hampster would be the easiest to take.  They had a great time!  One of the parents even brought a pony!

Tomorrow Kaydens class is reading a book called "Stone Soup."  Each of the kids have been assigned an ingredient to take.  Kayden gets to take a potato!

Kayden is growing up so fast.  Soon I hope to post about him losing his first tooth!  Its so so so ready to come out!
